BorrowBay acts solely as a peer-to-peer rental facilitator. All transactions, agreements, and exchanges happen directly between the renter and the lender. BorrowBay does not guarantee, inspect, or take responsibility for the quality, availability, condition, or behavior of either party.

We are not responsible for any item-related disputes, damages, losses, or refund claims. It is the user’s responsibility to verify item condition, rental terms, and return policies before proceeding.

🧾 When Refunds May Apply

While BorrowBay itself does not issue refunds, we allow users to raise concerns in the following situations, which may lead to a resolution between the involved parties:

• Item not received or never delivered

• Item received is drastically different from description

• Booking was cancelled by the lender before the rental start

• Item was delivered broken or unusable

In such cases, we may help mediate communication but final decisions rest with the lender and renter involved.

🚫 Non-Refundable Situations

• Change of mind after booking confirmation

• Misunderstanding of rental duration or fees

• Damage caused by the renter

• Failure to communicate or return items on time

🧾 Recommendations to Users

• Inspect the item during pickup/delivery

• Take timestamped photos or videos of the item before and after rental

• Maintain clear communication with the other party

• Clarify terms in writing (via chat or BorrowBay messaging)
